The Power of Self-Image

When thinking of the self-image you need to portray, the infamous quote by Henry Ford comes to mind, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right.”  Belief in your own capabilities is a driving force to becoming an extraordinary gentleman of wondrous class.  Taking upon the robust persona of a modern gentleman requires you to first build internally to transform your personal outlook on life to be abnormally positive to the point of exuding prosperity.

If you perceive yourself as a conservative individual of comfort, are you going to go out and dress in a three-piece suit to dinner? You might decide to don that outfit occasionally, but chances are that you will be more inclined to dress modestly and reserved to avoid attention.  If you perceive yourself as a successful CEO of a large corporation, would you dress casually to a business meeting with a polo and khaki shorts? Of course not! You would definitely dress in business as dressing casually would outwardly clash with the alignment of who you internally are.  We envision ourselves in a certain light that will either promote or hinder our success, and you have entire control over the decisive path you choose to embody.  Therefore, situating your self-image is fundamental to putting yourself in the quintessential position to succeed, and understanding the power of your internal view is paramount in committing to effective change.

Now that you have acknowledged the critical aspect of having a mighty self-image, you can undertake activities that build upon this important characteristic.  As with any worthwhile competence, it will take intentional exertion.  Affirmation of your astonishing traits is a great introduction to any journey of self-improvement.  You are an exceptional individual, and don’t ever lose sight of that.  Others may have imbued their negative perceptions unto you, but that does not define the personality you truly embody.  You are stupendously sensational, and you have enough self-assurance to block despicable remarks of petty individuals.

A handy trick that I like to practice is to envision an individual who you truly admire and surmise how they would react in certain situations.  Emulate the characters of success to help you to strengthen your capabilities to act spectacularly.  From my personal experience, I would channel my inner Conor McGregor (minus the profanities) when entering b-boy (breakdancing) competitions.  The confidence that this prominent MMA fighters has in his abilities is profound, and I always think of the illustrious Irishman as a solid exemplar of someone who has a deep understanding of the power of assurance in one’s potential.  Contemplate how your hero would face situations, and envisage the actions they would take in such an event.

Your circumstances have led you to the individual that you are today, but they do not define the favorable future you will come to enjoy.   Fortifying your self-image is crucial to maximizing your potential, and a true gentleman has an indestructible willpower matched with a impregnable commitment to success.  Never forget how remarkable you are, and utilize your newfound self-image to conquer all of your goals!
